About the Program:
Project Administration
The Program is administered by a Steering Committee with representatives from
both campuses. The Committee maintains close and extensive coordination with senior
information technology staff from both campuses, as well as with others involved in supporting faculty innovation.
Major tasks of the Steering Committee are:
- Overseeing the planning and implementation of the exploratory workshops and colloquia.
- Establishing a
committee to solicit and evaluate faculty proposals for collaborations with technology.
- Ensuring the broadest coordination with other technology-related efforts on both
campuses, including the libraries, language projects and imaging projects.
- Encouraging exploration in and acting as a conduit for ideas about technology and
teaching.
- Overseeing activities designed to evaluate the results of the project.
- Preparing annual and final reports to the Mellon Foundation.
The Project Director will coordinate all aspects of the program under general guidance
from the Steering Committee, ensure that the goals of the program are met in a timely
manner within budget, assist in the design and delivery of exploratory workshops, help
facilitate faculty participation in applications workshops, and assist the Steering
Committee in soliciting and managing the review of collaboration proposals, as well as
in coordinating the implementation and assessment aspects of the collaboration grants.
