Remote Collaboration Classrooms
Announcing the grand opening of
Denison's and Kenyon's new
REMOTE COLLABORATION CLASSROOMS
on Monday, February 8th from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
In this videoconference event, we will be joined by our colleagues
from our two campuses and also by guest speakers from Hamilton
College and Colgate University who will demonstrate for us how
remote collaboration facilities can be used in the liberal arts.
The event will be held at the new facilities funded by the Mellon
Program to enhance learning:
Denison University - Learning Resources Center room 115
Kenyon College - Ascension Hall room 25
We will see how other faculties are using remote collaboration to
enhance their courses. We will learn more about what works and
what doesn't, what are the gains and costs of this new approach,
when to use and when not to use this technology, and we'll have
ample opportunity to discuss our ideas and concerns with the folks
from Hamilton, Colgate and our campuses.
Please plan on attending if you are at all interested in any of a
broad range of teaching and learning possibilities:
- bringing in guest lecturers to your class
- collaboratively teaching a course
- sharing resources with other institutions
- helping students access required courses
- teaching less commonly taught languages
- avoiding costly travel time to coordinate projects
- and much more...
No registration is necessary, but seating is limited to 25. Please
plan on arriving at 4:00 when the session starts. Refreshments will be
served.
